40 Girl Students Fall Ill Eating Food at Jagtial Government School
Dr K. Pramod Kumar, the District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO), stated that he has instructed doctors to ensure the best possible medical care for the students under treatment.

Karimnagar: As many as 40 girl students fell ill after consuming food at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Gurukul Vidyalaya (MJPGV) in Laxmipur mandal of Jagtial district on Thursday. Of the affected students, 15 were admitted to the hospital. Five of them, who were more severely affected, were shifted to the pediatric ward at the Mother and Child Health Care Centre in Jagtial. Doctors later confirmed that their condition is now stable.

According to students, the chicken served for lunch on Wednesday was excessively spicy and contained an unusually high amount of chilli powder, which led to indigestion, stomach pain, and vomiting in several of them.
In response to the incident, and following the directives of district collector B. Satya Prasad, a health camp was set up at the school. Health officials examined the affected students and provided necessary treatment. The collector also instructed the school principal to ensure strict hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen and its surroundings.
