4 SHOs Suspended in 2 Months; ACB Traps SI
Just a week before on June 26, Kumbham Narasimha former SHO Malakpet was placed under suspension for official negligence and serious lapses in handling cases.
Hyderabad:In the past two months, four Station House Officers (SHOs) were suspended across the state, while the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped a sub-inspector in a bribery case.
Hyderabad police commissioner V. C. Sajjanar on Tuesday suspended U. Srinivasulu Reddy, former SHO Jubilee Hills after a departmental inquiry revealed that he allegedly sexually exploited, blackmailed and extorted money from a female complainant by threatening to leak personal videos.
Just a week before on June 26, Kumbham Narasimha former SHO Malakpet was placed under suspension for official negligence and serious lapses in handling cases. Disciplinary action was taken by the commissioner after an internal inquiry evaluating his performance.
Similarly on May 20, Bhukhya Raju Naik former SHO Khammam Central Crime Station was officially ordered to be removed from his post and attached to the DGP office. The major disciplinary action of suspension was issued by Khammam city police commissioner Sunil Dutt after criminal charges were proved against Naik following a departmental inquiry.
On June 25, B. Satyanarayana former SHO Yellandu Town was suspended. Order was issued directly from the multi-zone-1 Inspector General of Police (IGP) following human rights violations against an elderly couple.
On June 23, V. Narasimhulu former sub-inspector of Gandhinagar police station was caught red handed and arrested by the ACB after he demanded Rs 1 lakh and accepted Rs 50,000 in exchange for issuing station bail and for ensuring no future harassment.
