4 Acres Land Dispute Lead to Advocate Swapna’s Murder in Moinabad; Brother, 3 Others’ Held

Hyderabad: A day after a practicing advocate G Swapna was murdered brutally in her agricultural land at Kethireddypally in Moinabad, the police arrested four persons including her brother on Thursday.

Swapna’s brother G Raju along with his three associates Errolla Sandeep, Vadde Veeresh and Kavali Shiva Lingam killed her due to property dispute of their ancestral property of four acres of land in Kethireddypally village of Moinabad, said Yogesh Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chevella Zone, Future City Commissionerate while interacting with media persons.

In her complaint, Swapna’s mother Venkatamma, a resident of Kethireddypally village, said both went to their land to conduct a survey with persons known to them. After completion of the survey, she along with her daughter was returning from their field towards the road leading from Venkatapur to Nakkalaplly when the accused came in a car and hit her daughter.

As a result, she fell down in a pit. The accused then attacked Swapna with sticks, stones and beat on her head. They cut Swapna’s throat with a knife. The complainant screamed seeking help and tried to save her daughter but by that time she died as blood was oozing from the throat.

The accused planned to eliminate Swapna for grabbing four acres of land which was in dispute. The land was in dispute between Swapna and Raju. To execute his plan, Raju conspired with his associates and killed her when she came to the field to conduct a survey.

They came to the field in an SUV along with sticks and a sickle. They first hit the deceased with a car and later attacked her with stones and sickle. After committing the crime, they fled the spot. Based on information, the police nabbed them on Thursday.
