35-year old drowns in Kandakurthi Triveni Sangam

Nizamabad: A 35-year-old man, Saibaba of Kotagiri, drowned at the confluence of the Godavari and its tributaries, Manjeera and Haridra, at Kandakurthi in Renjal mandal on Wednesday. Saibaba, accompanied by his friend Makkaiah, had visited the Triveni Sangam to take a holy bath on the occasion of Pournami. While bathing, he accidentally drowned in the water. Makkaiah and others promptly informed Renjal police, who have launched a search for his body and registered a case.
