Hyderabad: A 33-year-old private employee, Lanka Sri Divya, died allegedly by suicide at her residence in Dharmareddy Colony, Phase I, KPHB, around 12.45 pm on Thursday. KPHB police took up the case based on a complaint lodged by her mother Bhagi Padmavathi.
Divya had married L. Durga Prasad in 2015, and the couple had a daughter. According to the complaint, Prasad left for work in the morning and was unable to reach Divya later in the day. On returning home around noon, he found her dead in the bedroom.
Padmavathi told police that her daughter had often expressed dissatisfaction with life and appeared to be under mental distress. She suspected depression may have led to the incident.
