HYDERABAD: Health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha’s official quarters in Banjara Hills is
set for a major makeover following an allocation of ₹30 lakh. According to sources, the works include bathroom renovation, installation of a new shed, kitchen upgradation, and fitting of solar and electrical equipment.
A government order issued by the transport, roads and buildings department on December 5 sanctioned ₹30 lakh for “providing wardrobe and certain civil works” at minister quarters No. 30, Road No.12, Banjara Hills. The amount was sanctioned under the Head of Account “MJH.4216-Capital outlay on housing, 01 Government Residential Buildings MH.106 General Pool
Accommodation GH (25) State Sector Schemes SH (05)-Rental Housing Scheme 530-Major Works 531-Other Expenditure.”
Meanwhile, minister for minority welfare and public enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin will soon move into his official quarters within the MLA quarters premises. “He is most likely to shift within the next 10 days. Azharuddin, along with his key official setup, will operate from this camp office to
remain accessible to the public,” sources close to the minister said.
