3-Hour Wait for Darshan at Yadadri
Devotees face a 3-hour wait as crowds swell during summer holidays

Nalgonda: The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta experienced an overwhelming influx of devotees this weekend, with visitors enduring up to three-hour waits for general darshan on Sunday. Special darshan lines, by contrast, moved more swiftly, averaging about one hour.
Crowds began forming in the early hours, and by mid-morning, the serpentine queue extended from the hill shrine down to the prasadam counters, which also saw packed lines as pilgrims collected offerings.
Anticipating that weekend patronage during the summer holidays would nearly double compared with weekdays, temple executive officer S. Venkata Rao said authorities had implemented crowd-management measures. “To ensure smooth movement in the lines, special protocol darshans will be reserved exclusively for VIPs on Saturdays and Sundays,” he explained. “This will help maintain an orderly flow for all devotees.”
