3 Held for Stealing Batteries from Adilabad’s Narnur Market Yard
The accused allegedly stole the batteries between 6 pm on September 24 and 7 am on September 25: Police
Adilabad: The Narnur police arrested three persons for allegedly stealing nine batteries from vehicles parked at the Narnur Agricultural Market Yard and nearby areas in the district.
The arrested persons were identified as Mesram Nitin, 22, Kotnak Chitru alias Sitaram, 24, and Salam Gajapath Rao alias Gajju, 23, all residents of Gundala Gondaguda village in Narnur mandal.
According to Narnur Circle Inspector Anjamma, the accused allegedly stole the batteries between 6 pm on September 24 and 7 am on September 25. The stolen batteries were valued at around Rs.85,500.
Based on a complaint from the victims, police registered a case under Section 305(b) of the BNS and launched an investigation. During the probe, police identified and arrested the accused and recovered all nine stolen batteries.
The accused were produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.
