Hyderabad: Two women with multiple Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, cases on their heads and a peddler have been arrested while other three managed to escape during a raid conducted by Special Task Force (STF) at a house in Lower Dhoolpet area in the early hours of Wednesday.
“The Marijuana Queens typically refers to female drug peddlers are reportedly associates of Marijuana women dons, Angoori Bai, Kiran Bai and Nagin Bhabi, who are under prosecution," police disclosed. During the raid, the STF team seized 1.412 kg of ganja.
“The female suppliers are identified as Arti Bai, Sabita Bai and the peddler Gautam Singh. While the others Sarika, Avinash Singh and Kailas Singh who live in the same premise managed to flee,” Hyderabad district STF head Anji Reddy said.
“The accused along with the seized contraband were handed over to the Dhoolpet Excise Station for further action. We have intimated the investigation officials that the accused are involved in over 60 cases,” Ajni Reddy added.
