25 yrs experience for jawan posts, urge contract staff union
Union leaders alleged that outsourced workers recruited during the BRS government’s tenure have been given jawan posts based on recommendations, despite lacking the necessary expertise in sanitation work

KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar Municipal Contract Employees and Workers Union (KMCEWU) submitted a representation to municipal commissioner Chahat Bajpai on Monday, demanding that jawan positions be reserved for employees who have served the corporation for 20 to 25 years.
Union leaders alleged that outsourced workers recruited during the BRS government’s tenure have been given jawan posts based on recommendations, despite lacking the necessary expertise in sanitation work. “We have extensive experience and qualifications in sanitation, making us the rightful candidates for these positions,” the union stated.
The union warned that if ineligible outsourcing employees continue to be appointed, protests and agitations will follow to ensure a fair hiring process. Representatives including B. Srinivas Reddy, D. Raja Mallaiah, and Gaddam Sampath, along with municipal workers G. Rajeshwari, K. Chandrakala, M. Swamy, K. Rajendar, P. Srinivas, and P. Yellaiah, were present during the submission.
