22A Prohibited List – Harish Demands Ponguleti’s Resignation
“The minister cannot say that he has no responsibility and blame officials. A major mistake has been committed and now he is offering an apology. Will an apology solve the problems faced by thousands of families? Who added these properties to the list? Who instructed them to do so? Can properties be included arbitrarily and responsibility later be shifted to officials.”

Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Tuesday demanded that revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy resign over 22A prohibited land issue, and said ministers could not shift the blame for their own decisions on to officials.
“Ponguleti must resign on moral grounds over the large-scale inclusion of private properties in the Section 22A prohibited properties list across Telangana,” Harish Rao said addressing a protest in Malkajgiri demanding the immediate cancellation of the list. The government decision created widespread confusion and anxiety among lakhs of property owners as entire colonies and large numbers of properties were added overnight to the prohibited list without proper verification, he said.
