21 Bullets Found At Arrested Suryapet DSP’s House During ACB Searches
The ACB searched DSP’s house in connection with a bribe case

Hyderabad: A day after he was arrested in connection with a bribe case, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) found 21 live rounds, 69 empty cartridges and a cartridge stand during searches carried out at the residence of Suryapet Sub-Division Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) K Parthasarathi’s residence in Dattatreya Nagar at Hayathnagar on Tuesday.
In a complaint lodged with the Hayathnagar police, the ACB Inspector Ch. Murali Mohan said that 21 live rounds, 69 empty cartridges and one cartridge stand were found in DSP’s house. The house was searched in connection with the ACB case registered under Section 7(a) of Prevention of Corruption Act-1988 against the DSP and Suryapet Town Inspector P. Veera Raghavulu.
Based on the complaint, the police booked a case under Section 25 (1A) (1AA) read with seven of Arms Act-1959, according to Hayathnagar Inspector P Nagaraju Goud.
On Monday, the ACB arrested Parthasarathi and Veera Raghavulu for initially demanding Rs.25 lakh as bribe from the complainant and later on the request of the complainant the amount was reduced to Rs.16 lakh for showing an official favour.
The bribe was demanded to issue a notice and to avoid arrest of the complainant in a case (crime number:166/2025) of Suryapet II Town police station, and to allow the complainant to run his scanning centre smoothly.
The ACB officials said the two police officers performed their public duty improperly and dishonestly. After arresting them, the ACB produced them before the special court for ACB cases in Nampally. Further, investigation is on.
