200 Female Defence Volunteers, 35 From Woman's College Take Part in Fire Awareness Prog

DG emphasized stating that the prime objective is to strengthen the capabilities of Civil Defence Volunteers to effectively respond to disasters, emergencies and other public safety incidents across the state

Hyderabad: Telangana fire and disaster response emergency and civil defence department conducted its fourth day of the 2nd Batch of the 5-Day Civil Defence Volunteers Training Programme at Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women's University, Koti, Hyderabad, on Thursday.

The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 200 Civil Defence Female Volunteers, along with 35 members of the University management, faculty and staff.

As part of training session, Dr. Anita Patel, Vice President, Noble Life Saving Society of India, and Telangana Board Member for Disaster Management, delivered an informative session on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Artificial Respiratory Methods, and Community Awareness, Vikram Singh Mann TG DG fire department said.

The session provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills to enhance their preparedness and enable them to effectively support the administration during emergencies and disasters, Vikram Singh said.

DG emphasized stating that the prime objective is to strengthen the capabilities of Civil Defence Volunteers to effectively respond to disasters, emergencies and other public safety incidents across the state.

The five-day training programme, which will continue until 10 July 2026, comprises classroom lectures, live demonstrations, mock drills and hands-on practical training designed to build a skilled, disciplined and dedicated Civil Defence Volunteer force capable of supporting disaster management and public safety initiatives across Telangana.
