2 Jewellery Shops Burgled In Bodhan

NIZAMABAD: A major theft was reported at two jewellery shops in Bodhan town of Nizamabad district, with the incidents coming to light on Sunday after shop owners discovered the break-ins.
According to police, unidentified thieves broke open the shutters of the two gold shops around midnight on Saturday and decamped with about 35 tolas of gold, 16 kg of silver, and ₹1 lakh in cash.
Police suspect the involvement of a newly emerging gang that is targeting jewellery shops in the region. A dog squad was pressed into service, and forensic teams collected fingerprints and other evidence from the scene.
Bodhan police have registered cases and launched an investigation to trace the culprits.( Source : Deccan Chronicle )
