2 Held for Treasure Hunting in Kaleshwaram Forest

The accused were identified as Injarapu Venkataramana Prasad of Teachers Colony in Adilabad and Valaboju Srinivas of Sudhanagar in Hanamkonda

Adilabad: Kaleshwaram police arrested two men for allegedly treasure hunting in the Kaleshwaram forest area of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Monday, police said.

The accused were identified as Injarapu Venkataramana Prasad of Teachers Colony in Adilabad and Valaboju Srinivas of Sudhanagar in Hanamkonda.

Acting on the instructions of superintendent of police Sirisetti Sankeerth, CCS CI Ramesh and police conducted checks in the forest area and found the two men allegedly searching for treasure.

Police said the accused confessed during questioning that they had been roaming the forests for the past six months in search of treasure. Police seized electronic gadgets used for treasure hunting and shifted the accused to Kaleshwaram police station.
