Nizamabad: District judge Sunitha Kunchala on Tuesday sentenced Medida Prashanth and Medida Oddemma of Makloor to undergo rigorous life imprisonment for the murder of six members of a family.
The accused brutally murdered six members of a family in 2024. Puna Prasad of Makloor and his wife Ramani, his sisters Sravani, Swapna and his twin children Puna Chaitrika and Babu Chaitrik were murdered by Medida Prashanth.
Prashanth with the help of his mother Oddemma and others murdered the victims in a rented car after bringing them separately.
He dumped the bodies of the twin children at Soan bridge near the river Godavari in Mendora mandal. Mendora SI G. Narayana, Armoor rural CI B. Govardhan Reddy, K. Sridhar Reddy and other officials conducted the investigation and filed the charge sheet.
In-charge commissioner of police Ch. Sindhu Sharma, additional DCP G. Baswa Reddy appreciated the police team for their good work.
