2 Arrested For Selling Restricted Pills

Nalgonda: Nalgonda Town-II police on Thursday arrested two people and seized 288 sheets of restricted tablets, typically sold only with a doctor's prescription, from their possession.
They were identified as Mohammed Khaja Wasimuddin (38) of Nalgonda and Kopparavari Yeshwanth Manideep (29), who operates a medical shop in Piduguralla, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. Two other suspects — Khaja Shoaib and Sheik Amer, residents of Nalgonda Old Town — are absconding.
According to police, Wasimuddin was intercepted during a vehicle check on Munugode Road while riding a motorcycle suspiciously. Upon inspection, police recovered the tablets from his possession. During interrogation, Wasimuddin confessed to illegally selling the tablets at inflated prices to addicts in Nalgonda, with assistance from Shoaib and Amer.
He further revealed that the tablets were procured from Yeshwanth Manideep’s medical shop in Piduguralla. Police have launched efforts to trace and apprehend the remaining accused in the case. Investigations are ongoing.
