KARIMNAGAR: In a tragic incident, an 18-month-old girl died after being bitten by a snake at Ashireddypalli village in Chandurthi mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district.
The child was the daughter of Chekuta Ramesh and Latha. The incident occurred on Monday night while the toddler was playing at home. Hearing a sudden cry, her family rushed to find blood oozing from between her toes. She was immediately taken to a private hospital in Vemulawada, where doctors said her condition was critical due to the snake venom.
Tragically, the child died while being shifted to another hospital in Yellareddypet later that night. Her father, Ramesh, who had gone to Dubai six months ago, hurried back to his native village after learning of the incident. The family has preserved the child’s body in a freezer.
It may be noted that a few days ago, a similar incident in the same mandal created panic when a snake entered a farmer’s motorcycle. Despite repeated attempts, it would not come out, forcing the farmer to call a mechanic. After dismantling the engine, the snake was finally located and removed, and the dramatic video of the rescue has since gone viral on social media.
