16 ROB Works Sanctioned in Peddapalli; DPR Underway for 4 LCs
As on June 1, 2026, as many as 4,993 Road over Bridge (ROB) and Road under Bridge (RUB) works were sanctioned at a cost of approximately Rs.1,17,492 crore on Indian Railways including 118 ROB and RUBs at a cost of approximately Rs.4,883 crore in Telangana which are at various stages of planning and execution
Hyderabad: The Ministry of Railways on Wednesday informed that 16 works were sanctioned in Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency for construction of ROB and the work of preparation of Technical Feasibility Report and Detailed Project Report (TFR/DPR) has been taken up for four level crossings (LCs).
As on June 1, 2026, as many as 4,993 Road over Bridge (ROB) and Road under Bridge (RUB) works were sanctioned at a cost of approximately Rs.1,17,492 crore on Indian Railways including 118 ROB and RUBs at a cost of approximately Rs.4,883 crore in Telangana which are at various stages of planning and execution.
As on June 1, 2026, there are 13 ROBs, 26 RUBs and 20 LCs in Peddapalli constituency. Sanctioning of works of ROB and RUB in lieu of LCs is a continuous and dynamic process of Indian Railway. Such works are prioritised and taken up on the basis of their impact on safety in train operations, mobility of trains and impact for road users and feasibility etc.
This was stated by the Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw in response to a question raised by MP Vamsi Krishna Gaddam in Lok Sabha on Wednesday on early completion of sanctioned ROB works in Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency.
