16 Naren 4-Lorry Driver Died In Firing On NH-44 In Nizamabad

Commissioner of Police P.Sai Chaitanya said that lorry driver Salman died due to head injury. Doctors identified that head injury with a rod might reason for the death, he said.

NIZAMABAD: An incident of firing on the National Highway (NH-44) created panic. In the limits of the Indalwai Police Station, miscreants opened fire on a person. One person was killed in the incident.

On Tuesday evening, near a dhaba close to Devitanda in Indalwai Mandal of Nizamabad district, a lorry driver named Salman, 35 belonging to Uttar Pradesh had parked his lorry. Meanwhile, two persons arrived in another lorry and stopped there. They then opened fire at him with a gun. Salman reportedly died while shifting to Government General Hospital in Nizamabad.

After the shooting, the assailants abandoned the lorry near Chandrayanpally and fled. Police have launched a search operation to nab the accused. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Nizamabad assistant commissioner of police L.Raja Venkat Reddy said that accused and deceased belongs to Uttar Pradesh. Rivalry might be reason for the attack, he said.
