1.6 Lakh Cases Settled at National Lok Adalat in Hyderabad

In-charge Sessions Judge M.S.M. Archana Kumari said various cases were resolved through mutual consent, providing speedy relief to a large number of litigants.

Hyderabad:As many as 1,60,107 cases were settled during the National Lok Adalat organised by the District Legal Services Authority, Sessions Division, Nampally, Hyderabad, with a total settlement or recovery amount of Rs.10.88 crore.

In-charge Sessions Judge M.S.M. Archana Kumari said various cases were resolved through mutual consent, providing speedy relief to a large number of litigants.

The settlement of a large number of cases helped litigants avoid prolonged legal proceedings and save time and litigation expenses, she saiAwards relating to the cases settled through the Lok Adalat were distributed to the concerned litigants.

Judges, advocates and officials worked to identify pending cases that could be resolved through compromise and held discussions with the parties to facilitate settlements through mutual agreement.

Archana Kumari said Lok Adalats provide an opportunity to resolve disputes amicably while helping both parties save time and legal expenses.

She also said free legal aid was available through the District Legal Services Authority to eligible poor and vulnerable sections of society. She urged people facing legal issues to approach the Legal Services Authority for assistance.
