130 Booked in Drunken Driving Checks in Nizamabad

In Nizamabad, police conducted extensive drunken driving checks on December 31 to ensure public safety during New Year celebrations. Teams from various divisions, including traffic, apprehended 130 motorists for driving under the influence, emphasizing the importance of responsible driving during festive times.

Nizamabad: During drunken driving checks conducted on December 31 in connection with New Year celebrations, police carried out inspections across the Nizamabad Police Commissionerate limits.
Teams from the Nizamabad, Armoor and Bodhan divisions, along with the Nizamabad traffic wing, conducted the checks. As many as 130 motorists were caught driving under the influence of alcohol during the enforcement drive. Police Commissioner P. Sai Chaitanya said on Thursday that the checks were conducted purely in the interest of public safety and to prevent road accidents during the festive period.
