12 naren 2-TG constituted advisory panel on Gulf migrants woes
Kerala state government is successfully implementing NRI policy for Gulf migrants. Following this, the Telangana government is planning to mitigate the hardships of the migrant workers in Gulf countries.

NIZAMABAD: For preparation of comprehensive NRI policy, focussing on Gulf workers hailing from the Telangana state, the state government constituted an advisory committee. The committee headed by retired Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer and senior Congress leader Dr B.M.Vinod Kumar will study the Gulf migrant workers welfare measures.
The committee with the tenure of two years, will focus on Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) countries and living standards of Telangana migrant workers there. Kerala state government is successfully implementing NRI policy for Gulf migrants. Following this, the Telangana government is planning to mitigate the hardships of the migrant workers in Gulf countries.
In search of employment, thousands of semi-skilled and unskilled workers from Telangana state went to Gulf countries. Due to the lack of comprehensive NRI policy, they are facing a lot of problems. Even in emergencies like accidents, deaths, the migrant families are unable to get any support from the authorities. Even bringing the dead bodies of migrant workers from Gulf countries to their native villages in Telangana became a hard task.
In this context, Chief Minister A.Revanth Reddy took initiative and directed officials to mitigate the problems of Gulf migrant workers. The advisory committee constituted with Gulf migrant workers activist Manda Bheem Reddy as vice chairman, Government whip, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, former MLC T.Jeevan Reddy, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam, Nizamabad rural MLA R.Bhupathi Reddy and Telangana state mineral development corporation chairman, former MLA Eravathri Anil Kumar as members.
In addition, Gulf migrants activists-Singireddy Naresh Reddy, Lizy Joseph, Chennamaneni Srinivas Rao, Kottala Satyam Nara Goud of Dubai, Guggilla Ravinder, Swadesh Parikipandla were made as members of the advisory committee. General administration department joint secretary of protocol will be the member secretary of the advisory committee. Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari issued GO Ms No.57, dated 10.4.2025. The committee will prepare a comprehensive NRS policy.
