Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police arrested 10 persons in connection with the murder of a B.Tech student Yuvan in Chilkalguda a few days ago.
Twenty-three-year-old Yuvan, a third-year BTech student from Jawaharnagar, had been in a relationship with a young woman from Sitaphalmandi for the past four years. After learning about the affair, the woman’s family had reportedly warned him against continuing the relationship.
Despite warnings, Yuvan was staying at a friend’s house at Indiranagar in Sitaphalmandi, and frequently meeting the woman. On Thursday night, six unidentified persons allegedly arrived on three motorcycles and attacked Yuvan while he was watching television. Though he tried to flee, the assailants chased and stabbed him repeatedly before escaping.
Locals shifted him to Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Among the 10 arrested persons, two of them were relatives of Yuvan’s lover.
