1 Dead, 15 Hurt As Mini Bus Overturns Hitting Auto
According to police, the accident occurred around 4 am when the mini bus, en route to Mahbubabad from Srisailam, hit an oncoming autorickshaw and overturned after veering off the road.
Nalgonda: One person died and 15 others were injured when a mini bus overturned after colliding with an autorickshaw on the outskirts of Madharam village in Shaligowraram mandal, Nalgonda district, in the early hours of Monday.
The deceased was identified as Malothu Mangilal Naik (35), a resident of Mahbubabad.
According to police, the accident occurred around 4 am when the mini bus, en route to Mahbubabad from Srisailam, hit an oncoming autorickshaw and overturned after veering off the road. A total of 20 people were travelling in the mini bus at the time, returning to their hometown after visiting a temple in Srisailam.
Fifteen passengers from the mini bus sustained injuries and were shifted to the Government Hospital in Nakrekal for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.
Three people, including the driver, who were travelling in the autorickshaw, escaped with minor injuries.
Upon receiving information, Shaligowraram police rushed to the scene and rescued the passengers from the mini bus. Police suspect that the accident was caused by overspeeding, which led to the driver losing control of the vehicle.
