Youth Dies as Minister’s Car Hits 2-Wheeler at Maraimalai Nagar
A 28-year-old youth travelling in a two-wheeler was hit by the car belonging to Social Welfare Minister K. Jagadeeswari at Maraimalai Nagar.
Chennai, Sept. 7: A 28-year-old youth travelling in a two-wheeler was hit by the car belonging to Social Welfare Minister K. Jagadeeswari at Maraimalai Nagar on Sunday midnight. The minister’s relatives were travelling in the car while she was travelling in front of them in a government vehicle.
The Minister left Virudhu Nagar on Sunday evening to attend the Assembly session on Monday and her vehicle reached Maraimalai Nagar on Sunday midnight. She was travelling in the government car while her relatives were coming in her car.
The youth Iraianbu who attended a temple festival at Kattankolathur was returning to his home in the same area in a two-wheeler. At around 12.30 am, he was crossing the road at Maraimalai Nagar when the car belonging to the minister hit his vehicle. He was thrown on the road and died on the spot.
