Water Inflow From Cauvery Rises At Hogenakkal, Touches 12,500 Cusecs

Dharmapuri: The inflow into the Cauvery River at Hogenakkal in the Pennagaram taluk of Dharmapuri district continues to rise due to the surplus water being released from dams in the bordering state of Karnataka. On Monday, it increased further to 12,500 cusecs.
For the past three days, the quantity of surplus water released from Karnataka dams has been increasing, leading to rising levels at Hogenakkal. The inflow, which was 4,500 cusecs until Saturday, increased to 8,500 cusecs on Sunday morning, 9,500 cusecs by Sunday evening, and touched 12,500 cusecs on Monday
Waterfalls at Hogenakkal, including Aintharuvi, Chini Falls and Main Falls now have plenty of water, resulting in the district administration taking precautionary steps.
