Buzz: Vijay's Bodyguard to get Plum Govt Post?

Vijay is deliberately selecting people from the film fraternity for appointment to important government posts. He is picking individuals from his coterie

In Tamil Nadu, the film industry and politics share a deep connection. Former Chief Ministers MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa bounced into politics using cinema as a platform for mass appeal and emotional connection.

Following the same trajectory, actor C. Joseph Vijay too catapulted to the CM seat. However, Vijay departs from the historical approach of actor-turned-politicians MGR and Jayalalithaa, who strictly picked bureaucrats and political loyalists only for administrative posts. They strictly maintained distance between governance and film circles.

Vijay is deliberately selecting people from the film fraternity for appointment to important government posts. He is picking individuals from his coterie.

Recently, AGS Entertainment CEO and producer of films like Bigil and The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), Archana Kalpathi was appointed as a member of the state-level Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments temple trustee selection committee.

Beside her, popular playback singer Velmurugan, who rendered song for Vijay's political campaign and his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), was appointed as a member of the HR&CE temple trustee selection panel.

Producer of film Jana Nayagan, K. Venkata Narayana, was appointed as Tamil Nadu government's Special Representative in New Delhi.

His long-time manager and close aide, Jagadish Palanisamy was appointed as Private Secretary (Political) to the Chief Minister.

Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa was appointed as chairman/president of the MGR Government Film and Television Training Institute.

There is buzz that Vijay is also considering giving a government job to his long-time bodyguard Moosa, who has been with him since the beginning of his film career.
