TN CM Vijay To Hold Dept-wise Review From July 2 To Chart Growth Plan
The extensive month-long consultation with the heads of the departments would help focus on the first budget to be presented by CM Vijay.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will undertake a nearly a month-long review of the government departments starting from July 2 to prepare a roadmap for development, an official said on Friday. The extensive consultation with the heads of the departments on a daily basis would help focus on the first budget to be presented by the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam under CM Vijay.
Chief Secretary M Sai Kumar has instructed the officials to prepare a concise presentation covering the key activities and functions, action plans, suggestions to improve transparency, efficiency and service delivery, and key challenges, for each government department.
The proposal with financial implications needs to be discussed with the Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, and the above presentation should be submitted to the Chief Minister's office at least two days in advance after obtaining the approval of the Chief Secretary, Sai Kumar said in an official communication to the department heads dated June 25.
CM Vijay will commence the review meeting on July 2 with the Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection department and review several departmental activities, including higher education, social welfare and women empowerment, labour welfare, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, Industries and wind up with the review of the Home, Prohibition and Excise departments on July 22.
