Vijay Breaks Protocol to Hand Appointment Order to Pregnant Recruit

During the event, the Chief Minister drew praise for ignoring regular protocol and stepping down from the dais to personally hand over the appointment order to a pregnant recipient who was unable to climb the stairs

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Wednesday handed over appointment orders to more than 400 Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission recruits, including 383 Assistant Engineers and 18 Assistant Accounts Officers, at Chennai’s Kalaivanar Arangam.

During the event, the Chief Minister drew praise for ignoring regular protocol and stepping down from the dais to personally hand over the appointment order to a pregnant recipient who was unable to climb the stairs.

Vijay was seen ignoring regular protocol and walked up to Akshayalakshmi, who was a recruit in her 40th week of pregnancy, and personally handed over her appointment order.

Minister for Energy Resources R. Nirmalkumar, Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar, Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited Chairman and Managing Director J. Radhakrishnan, Energy Secretary Anil Meshram, and other officials took part in the event at Kalaivanar Arangam on Wallajah Road in Chennai.

The orders were handed over at a function held at Kalaivanar Arangam here on behalf of the Energy Department.
