Tiger Movement Triggers Scare at Devarshola

Ooty:While foresters are searching for a man-eater tiger which struck at the O’Valley limits in Gudalur a few days back, now, the movement of a tiger in a tea garden at Devarshola limits in Gudalur has triggered panic among the farm hands and residents.

The recent weeks saw a surge in man-animal conflicts in Gudalur and Pandalur limits. A couple of days ago, residents in the Devarshola area complained about the movement of a tiger in a tea garden in the vicinity. Following this, the foresters rushed to the spot and inspected the area. As this triggered fear among the residents there, the foresters deployed a team to monitor the straying of tigers, besides installing camera traps in the vantage points.
