Tamil Nadu has Filed Revision Petition on Mekedatu
AIADMK general secretary had alleged that the State government was cavalier in its attitude to counter the moves of Karnataka to build the dam across the Cauvery at Mekedatu

Chennai: Tamil Nadu had filed a revision petition in the Supreme Court against its order dated November 13 on the Mekedatu issue since some of the views in it, like the one allowing States to use the water allocated to them according to their will, went against the earlier order dated February 16, 2018, State Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan said
Averring that the State government would not allow Karnataka to have a free run on the Cauvery issue, Duraimurugan said in a statement on Friday that the government had also appealed to the Central Water Commission to not allow the Mekedatu dam scheme as it would be detrimental to the interest of Tamil Nadu and go against the Supreme Court order.
Earlier, AIADMK general secretary had alleged that the State government was cavalier in its attitude to counter the moves of Karnataka to build the dam across the Cauvery at Mekedatu. In a message he said Karnataka had appointed a 30-member committee to prepare a report on the construction of the dam.
