Tamil Nadu: CM Stalin, Dy CM inaugurate three CMDA projects

Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated three completed projects of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) totaling Rs 58.70 crore from the Secretariat through video conference on Saturday.
A stand for long-distance private omni buses going southwards at Mudichur in Chengalpattu was among the three projects. Constructed at a cost of Rs 42.70 crore, the five acre bus stand with a capacity for holding 1500 buses has a wide range of facilities and is located seven km from the Kalaignar Centenary bus stand for government buses in Kilambakkam.
At Kilambakkam, a ‘climate change’ park constructed by spending Rs 15 crore, was opened for public use and at Koyambedu wholesale market a clinic for providing health care to workers, traders and the public was opened after renovation costing Rs one crore.
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin also inaugurated 17 new completed plan works worth Rs 75.95 crore and laid the foundation for 36 plan works that would cost Rs 14.28 crore at Vellore district.
Also the deputy chief minister distributed 345 sports equipment packages for 247 panchayats, besides handing over assistance given away under various government departments for 4844 beneficiaries totalling Rs 128.92 crore.
