Tamil Nadu Cabinet Reshuffle: Duraimurugan Given Law Portfolio

Chennai: State Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan was allotted the Law portfolio on the recommendation of Chief Minister M K Stalin and Law Minister S Regupathy had been designated as Minister for Natural Resources, a press release from Raj Bhavan said on Thursday.

The portfolios of Minerals and Mines, hitherto held by Duraimurugan, would be taken care of by Regupathy, the press release said.

Soon after the portfolio change was announced, Duraimurugan, the senior most Minister in the Cabinet, took ill and was taken to the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai for a check-up.
