Sue Udhayakumar for Slur Against CM, Trisha, TVK Lodges Police Complaint

Mr Udhayakumar allegedly made the remarks while addressing AIADMK cadres at a Jayalalithaa Peravai meeting in Thoothukudi on August 8, while criticising the Tamil Nadu government’s failure to get Karnataka to release the Cauvery water ordered by the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA).

Thoothukudi: The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has lodged a complaint with the district superintendent of police seeking legal action against former AIADMK minister R.B. Udhayakumar for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Chief Minister Joseph Vijay and actor Trisha.

The complaint was submitted by TVK district office-bearer Gautham and other party functionaries.

Mr Udhayakumar allegedly made the remarks while addressing AIADMK cadres at a Jayalalithaa Peravai meeting in Thoothukudi on August 8, while criticising the Tamil Nadu government’s failure to get Karnataka to release the Cauvery water ordered by the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA).

The TVK alleged that the remarks were objectionable and sought appropriate legal action against Udhayakumar after an inquiry into his speech.
