Stalin Supports Rahul Gandhi

Chief Minister M K Stalin said the evidence presented by his brother and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, exposed the scale of the fraud

Chennai: Regretting that the BJP had turned the Election Commission into its poll rigging machinery, Chief Minister M K Stalin said the evidence presented by his brother and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, exposed the scale of the fraud.

In a message on X, Stalin said on Monday that the DMK stood shoulder to shoulder in Rahul Gandhi’s fight against what he called as ‘Vote Theft.’ He demanded the immediate release of complete machine readable voter roll for every State.

Referring to the ‘vote theft’ in Mahadevapura constituency in Karnataka that Rahul Gandhi had been highlighting through power point presentation, Stalin said what happened there was not an administrative lapse but a calculated conspiracy to steal the people’s mandate.

So, he demanded an end to politically driven deletions from the voters’ lists and an independent probe into the subversion of democracy even as Rahul Gandhi led MPs on a march from Parliament House to the Election Commission of India office,

‘We will not watch in silence while the BJP robs India’s democracy in broad daylight,’ Stalin said.

Founder President of the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), Vijay, in a message on X, condemned the arrest of Rahul Gandhi and other MPs who took out the march in New Delhi and stressed on the need for free and fair election for protecting democracy and win the confidence of the people.

His party, the TVK, was the first in Tamil Nadu to say that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar would put a question mark on democratic rights soon after it was announced, he recalled.

Reacting to the message of Stalin, former BJP State President K Annamalai said ‘It is nothing short of ironic that the DMK, a party that perfected the art of vote theft through the infamous Thirumangalam formula of brazen bribery, and the Erode East formula where voters were herded like cattle during the entire campaign and eventually bought off with silver anklets, stainless steel pots and pressure cookers, and is now delivering lectures on democracy.’
