Stalin Launches Second Phase of Intensive Campaign

A target of 440 votes was fixed for the booth at Alwarpet and all party functionaries were told to ensure that they achieved the goal

Chennai: The DMK’s second phase of campaign under it ‘En Vakku Chavadi – Vetri Chavadi’ (My polling booth, Victory booth) was launched on Wednesday with the party president and Chief Minister M K Stalin attending a meeting at Mylapore West region of Alwarpet and urged the Booth Level Agents of the party to ensure that more votes were polled for the party candidates than in the previous election.

Stalin instructed the party agents to intensify their campaign to convert their booth into victory booth by involving the party workers in the election activities and reach out to the people at the grassroots level through street corner meetings, house visits for meaningful discussion and voter verification movements.

Apart from urging party workers to engage themselves fully in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, he said wanted all leaders, functionaries and cadre to work towards increasing the votes for the party at the booth level.

As part of the second phase of the ‘En Vakku Chavadi – Vetri Chavadi’ campaign, party secretaries at all levels starting from the panchayat union would travel across the State visiting 68,463 booths and train the party workers on devising their strategy for the DMK to win the 2026 Assembly elections.
