Retired Teacher From Namakkal Missing In Kathmandu Floods
On Wednesday, Krishnaveni was travelling by bus with fellow pilgrims in the Kathmandu region when sudden flash floods swept away vehicles.

Namakkal: A retired government school teacher from Namakkal, Krishnaveni (65) who had gone on the Kailash Yatra, is reportedly missing following flash floods in the Kathmandu-Tibet region. Her brother and relatives have appealed to authorities to help trace her.
Her husband, Vasudevan, is deceased. She has a son, Ranjith, who works in London, and a daughter, Sukanya, who is married and lives in Tindivanam. Krishnaveni had been living alone.
She left for the Kailash Yatra on August 23 through a travel agency named Super Yatra based in Kumbakonam. On Wednesday, Krishnaveni was travelling by bus with fellow pilgrims in the Kathmandu region when sudden flash floods swept away vehicles. Her whereabouts remain unknown.
