Thoothukudi: 2 TVK Workers Held For Sexually Assaulting Woman

Thoothukudi: Two men said to be TVK functionaries who had allegedly sexually assaulted a woman under the pretext of securing her a job were arrested by the Tamil Nadu police on Tuesday.
Reports state that the duo took the unsuspecting woman in a car to Ervadi in Ramanathapuram district, on May 3rd, on the pretext of finding her a suitable job for her. They spiked her drink with sedatives and sexually assaulted her in a secluded place.
Following a complaint from the victim, the Srivaikuntam All Women Police arrested Balasubramaniam, 35, and Jayapal, 28, who were said to be working as travel agency employees, and remanded them in custody in the Palayamkottai Central Prison on June 1, police said.
