Rahul Not To Share Stage With Stalin
DMK organization secretary R S Bharathi told the media at Anna Arivalayam on Friday that Stalin’s campaign schedule was drawn much earlier and hence they would not make the changes to suit the first leg of Rahul Gandhi’s visit.

Chennai: Putting to rest all speculations on Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi not interested in campaigning in Tamil Nadu as he was not happy with the seat allocation to his party by the DMK, Rahul Gandhi would be visiting the State on Saturday to address three meetings in Ponneri, Sholingur and Thuraiyur in Trichy though he would not be meeting Chief Minister M K Stalin who would be travelling in another direction.
Though all the constituencies in which Rahul Gandhi would be addressing crowds to canvass votes for the Secular Progressive Alliance are Congress seats, DMK sources attributed the inability to arrange a meeting for both the leaders to share the stage due to the delay in the finalization of Rahul Gandhi’s schedule.
Later Rahul Gandhi is expected to make two more visits to Tamil Nadu when he would be campaigning for his party candidates in Colachel, Srivaikuntam and so on. Attempts were on to make the two leaders share the stage in one of those campaigns, sources said.

Stalin’s programme was to take a flight to Madurai on Friday and return to Chennai on Saturday night through Coimbatore, while Rahul Gandhi would be reaching Chennai on Saturday forenoon and going to Ponneri, Sholingur and Thoraiyur.
