PSG College Coimbatore Wins First Prize in 24-Hour Hackathon 3.0 at SRCAS
PSG College of Technology Coimbatore team won the first prize, while the SRCAS bagged the second prize. The KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology team won the third prize
Coimbatore: Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science (SRCAS) in Coimbatore, in association with iGenius AI Private Limited, Singapore, has organised a national-level 24-hour Hackathon 3.0 in connection with the 80th Independence Day celebration.
The hackathon provided an opportunity for students to showcase their technological and creative skills by developing solutions based on the 17 sustainable development goals, including industry, innovation and infrastructure, quality education, gender equality,
economic growth, poverty eradication and good health.
More than 1,100 participants from 67 universities and colleges representing various states across the country, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir, registered for the competition. Of these, 100 teams were shortlisted. A total of 52 all-male teams, 42 mixed-gender teams and six all-female teams participated in the competition. In the final, the PSG College of Technology Coimbatore team won the first prize, while the SRCAS bagged the second prize. The KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology team won the third prize. In addition, eight teams that presented outstanding solutions were given consolation prizes and certificates.
As an encouragement, the top three teams will be provided with an opportunity to participate in a “Science and Innovation Competition” to be held in Singapore in December.
Furthermore, with the objective of providing opportunities to talented students, iGenius AI will offer free Microsoft internship opportunities as well as opportunities to work on live industry projects.

R. Rajavel, Registrar, Bharathiar University addressed the gathering and distributed prizes.
