Party Posts To 16 Defectors From AIADMK
Veteran Communist leader C Mahendran, who had also joined the TVK after it came to power, has been made a party district secretary.
Chennai: Soon after assuring the leaders and cadre of AIADMK that he was there for them if they felt uncomfortable with the their party leaders hobnobbing with the DMK honchos, TVK president and Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay appointed 16 defectors from that party as deputy general secretaries and district secretaries of the AIADMK.
According to a TVK press release issued after the campaign meeting at Madurantakam on Friday, in which he eulogized MGR and Jayalalithaa, former AIADMK Ministers like Kadambur Raju, M C Sampath, Vaigai Selvan, M S M Anandan, K Radhakrishnan, Vellamandi N Natarajan, K T Pachaimal, N R Sivapathi and S Valarmathi are among those who have been made deputy general secretaries.
