Government officers to be trained in IIM Bengaluru

Chief Minister M K Stalin had ordered that 25 officers were trained in the premier management institute, for the first time in the history of the State, at a cost of Rs 35 lakh, an official press release said

Chennai: State Government officers from a variety of departments are undergoing a three-day training programme titled ‘Business Analytics – Science of Data Driven Decision Making’ at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bengaluru from Wednesday to ensure that the fruits of the welfare schemes of the present DMK government reached the beneficiaries at the bottom level.

Chief Minister M K Stalin had ordered that 25 officers were trained in the premier management institute, for the first time in the history of the State, at a cost of Rs 35 lakh, an official press release said.

Among the departments from which the officers undergoing training are drawn from are: Chief Minister’s Address, electricity commission, cooperation, economic and statistics, treasury and accounts, commercial tax, Chennai Corporation, Town Panchayats movement, Registration, TANGEDCO, rural development and municipal administration, police, human resources development, crime records bureau and agriculture.
