Accusing the DMK government of increased ‘corruption, commission and collection,’ Palaniswami cited various incidents of crime in recent times and said that law and order in the State was at an abysmal low.

Chennai: Hitting back at Chief Minister M K Stalin, who said that the defeat of the AIADMK would begin from the Western districts of the State that the party’s general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami considered as his fiefdom, the Leader of the opposition predicted the debacle of the DMK all over the State, particularly in the western part.
Addressing a campaign meeting at Krishnagiri, he recalled the results of the 2021 Assembly elections and said that the AIADMK had swept polls then and would do an encore in 2026, too. Replying to Stalin that the DMK government had done more for the Western districts, Palaniswami listed out the schemes implemented by his government for farmers and others.
