Chennai: Taking a swipe at Chief Minister M K Stalin for his ‘Version 2.0 of Dravidian Model getting uploaded’ statement, Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, Edappadi K Palaniswami, said Versions 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 of Operation Ganja had already failed completely and that the only version in 2026 would be #TN_AIADMK, suggesting that his party would romp home in the 2026 Assembly polls
Taking to social media to reply to Stalin’s speech in the Assembly, in which he said that the AIADMK’s 10 year rule had left the State crawling in a veiled reference to Palaniswami, on Tuesday, the AIADMK general secretary said that Stalin would do well not crawl and leave with his shirts torn in 2026 when the people would say ‘bye bye Stalin’.
Referring to Stalin’s remark on making the State stand up with its head held high, Palaniswami said that the State that was standing with its head held high was made to bow down in shame by bestowing ‘martyr’ title to those who were released from jail on bail, which was an indirect reference to V Senthil Balaji, who had to give up his ministerial berth a couple of days back.
Other direct allegations that he made against the Government were on allowing hooch to thrive by citing Kallakurichi as a witness, the deterioration of law and order with a reference to the machetes found in the satchel of school boys and lack of safety for women by recalling the rape of a student inside Anna University campus.
