EPFO Campaign For Employees Left Out Of Coverage

As a major compliance facilitation, where the employee’s share of EPF contribution was not deducted from the wages, it stands waived.

Chennai: The Employees’ Enrolment Campaign (EEC), 2026, implemented with effect from July 1, will remain in operation till October 31. The campaign provides a special, one-time opportunity to employers to voluntarily enrol eligible employees left out from EPFO coverage during the period from April 1, 2009, to March 31, 2026.

Eligible employees are required to be enrolled through the EPFO employer portal.

As a major compliance facilitation, where the employee’s share of EPF contribution was not deducted from the wages, it stands waived. The employer is required to remit only the employer’s share of contribution, together with interest, administrative charges and a lump-sum damage.
