Chennai: A review meeting of the State Planning Commission was held on Monday at the State Planning Commission with Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is Ex-Officio Vice Chairman of the Commission, chairing it.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the reports submitted by the State Planning Commission to the Chief Minister, M K Stalin, and the Executive Vice Chairman, J Jeyaranjan, presented the findings of various evaluation studies on the government's key flagship programs.

He also explained about the ongoing evaluations, studies, and special initiatives that are being undertaken by the Commission to the Ex-Officio Vice Chairman, an official press release said.

The Deputy Chief Minister sought details regarding the benefits and impact of the various flagship schemes implemented under the able leadership of the Chief Minister in rural as well as urban areas. In his remarks, he commended the work of the Commission and stressed that the review meetings of the State Planning Commission should be conducted at regular intervals.

Others who attended the meeting were Pradeep Yadav, Additional Chief Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister, T Udhayachandran, Principal Secretary in Finance Department, Sudha S, Member-Secretary, R Srinivasan, M Vijayabaskar, Additional Full-Time Member, and Members Ezhilan Naganathan, MLA, K Deenabandu, Mallika Srinivasan, Narthaki Nataraj, Sultan Ahmed Ismail, J.Amalorpavanatha, and G Sivaraman.
