Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Corporation administration has stepped up dengue control measures by inspecting units engaged in raising and selling ornamental plants and crotons in the corporation limits.
The officials inspected 57 such units across its five zones to check whether hygienic measures are being followed.
The officials said that intensive mosquito eradication activities are being conducted systematically throughout the city and instructed the nursery and ornamental plants selling units to ensure that mosquito breeding does not happen in and around the nurseries. They instructed the nursery managements to ensure that water does not stagnate the trays, pots and related such items with a day-to-day watch.
