CM Assures Diaspora Tamils of All Support

Chennai:Urging the members of the Tamil diaspora to never forget their identity, roots and relations, Chief Minister M K Stalin told a gathering of Tamils from 70 countries to remember that they were the proud owners of a global language that alone had the power to unite people by vanquishing all differences, be it in the name of caste or religion, and bring them all together.
Addressing event organized to celebrate World Tamil Diaspora Day on Monday at the Chennai Trade Centre, Stalin called upon the people to visit the recently set up museums at Keeladi and Perunai that had documented the glory and antiquity of ancient Tamils whose history ran back to 4000 years and had been discovered to have sowed paddy grains.
While it was the Tamil language that united the people living in so many countries, who loved their mother tongue and were proud of their race but would never turn language chauvinists or racist for they would not allow any division to come amidst them and continue to live as children of a single mother, he said.

When the Tamil people cited their rich ancient literature to claim that the Tamils had a glorious past, they either mocked as falling prey to figments of imagination or accused of being racists but the DMK government established that all that the Tamils were proclaiming about their language, land and State as true through scientific research.
The Chief Minister listed the various efforts by the government to prove the antiquity of the language and race scientifically and also exhibit the evidence systematically and said that it was such measures that made it a government run by the people of a race and not of a political party.
Recalling the recent request made by him to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure that the interest of the Tamil people of Sri Lanka was protected in the Constitutional reforms that were underway in that country, he said.
Stalin also launched two double decker EV buses, gifted by the Tamils living in the US, for conducting traditional cultural tourism trips.
