Call for Nagenthran Ouster for Anti-CM Remarks

Chennai:Former Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson A.N.S. Prasad has demanded the immediate removal of BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran, alleging that his recent remarks against Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay were “personal, vulgar and politically motivated”.

In a statement, Prasad alleged that Nagenthran had made derogatory remarks about the Chief Minister and his parents at an event held at the BJP headquarters, Kamalalayam. He said such comments were beyond the limits of political criticism and had lowered the dignity of the party. Prasad also recalled Nagenthran’s earlier controversy involving remarks about actress Trisha, and said he was forced to apologise following public criticism.

He urged senior BJP leaders, including Pon Radhakrishnan, Raja, Tamilisai Soundararajan and Vanathi Srinivasan, to condemn the remarks.

Prasad demanded a public apology from Nagenthran and his resignation, failing which, he said, the BJP national leadership should remove him.
